Henri van Zeyst was one of the most articulate of the great scholars of Buddhism in Sri Lanka in the 20th century. On his website we have published over 30 books of his works, including introductory and advanced studies; as well as autobiographical works and tributes from those who knew him.
Besides this enormous output he also made significant contributions to the Sri Lankan Encyclopedia of Buddhism, of which he was at one time Deputy Editor. He wrote over 280 articles from 1961 until his passing in 1989. Even in 2002 they were still publishing his articles in the Encyclopedia.
We hope this will be of benefit to others, and will also help to keep Henri’s good name alive for the present generation.
