The last two albums from the Buddhavanam Theme Park have now been published. They include 150 photographs of the lower register surrounding the Mahā Stūpa. These include the whole range of themes that we find in Amaravati relief sculpting: auspicious signs, narrative reliefs (both Life of the Buddha and Jātaka), kings and queens, stūpas of various kinds and guardian figures.
The second collection of 55 photographs come from the Jātaka Park, which has reliefs on 40 large-scale stone carvings; and a reproduction of the Amaravati Railing, which is positioned at the beginning and end of the Jātaka Park, and which similarly has Life of the Buddha and Jātaka Stories, as well as auspicious roundels.
This brings to nearly 500 photographs from the Buddhavanam Theme Park altogether. For people going for a visit I would suggest giving it a minimum of 2-3 days to see all that can be found there. And remember they are still building, with a University, monasteries, a virtual museum and more planned.
