As this is photography season, and we’ve mainly been looking at stills photography, I thought I would highlight here just what can be done even with stills in this digital age.
These are three short time-lapse videos made by Terje Sørgjerd, a Norwegian landscape photographer, who has been published in magazines all round the world.
They feature three different scenes: the first is of the Aurora Borealis taken in the Arctic, on the archipelago Lofoten in Norway.
The second features Spain’s highest mountain El Teide, which is a great place to photograph the stars and is also the location of Teide Observatories.
The third was shot in and around Kirkenes and Pas National Park bordering Russia, with temperatures around -25 Celsius. A bit too cold for me.
